How long do Bull & Bear markets last?

On average, a bull market will last about 4.5 years, however the latest bull market has lasted over 10 years, since 2009, making it the longest in history. Major indexes like the S&P 500 have more than quadrupled since their lows in 2009.

Whereas a bear market, on average since WWII, has lasted about 14 months.

Please know, the value of investments can go up as well as down and you may receive back less than your original investment, meaning, when investing your capital is at risk.
