What is a Limit On Close (LOC)?

Limit on close orders are limit orders that are placed when the market is closing.

Investors that believe the closing price of a company’s share price is historically better at the close of the trading day will place this type of order prior to the close of the trading day.

If the closing price is not at or better than your submitted limit price, the order does not fill (complete) and is cancelled.

Please know, the value of investments can go up as well as down and you may receive back less than your original investment, meaning, when investing your capital is at risk.
